• Design Data: When you save or share a design, we store the image and associated design data (colors, patterns, templates used).
• Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage data such as pages visited and features used through Google Analytics.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Paint My Nutcracker application
• Allow you to save, share, and revisit your designs
• Display your designs in the public gallery (if you choose to share them)
• Analyze usage trends to improve the user experience

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies on this site, including:

• Essential Cookies: Required for authentication and core site functionality (provided by Auth0).
• Analytics Cookies: Google Analytics collects anonymous data about how you use the site, including pages visited, time spent, and general location. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Advertising Cookies: The Facebook (Meta) Pixel tracks page views for advertising measurement purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

• Amazon: This site contains links to products on Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase on Amazon, Amazon may collect data in accordance with Amazon's Privacy Notice.
• OpenAI: We use OpenAI's Moderation API to automatically screen user-submitted text and images for inappropriate content. Submitted content is sent to OpenAI for analysis and is subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

5. Content Moderation

To keep Paint My Nutcracker a welcoming space, we automatically screen user-submitted text (such as design names, poll titles, and profile information) and uploaded images for inappropriate content. See our Content Policy for details on what is screened.

If content is flagged by our moderation system, we log the following information for review:

• The flagged text or image
• Your IP address at the time of submission
• The moderation categories triggered
• A timestamp and which form field was flagged

This data is retained for the purpose of improving our filters and preventing abuse. Flagged images may be stored separately for admin review.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

If you would like to delete your account and associated data, please contact us at help@paintmynutcracker.com. You can choose to also delete all saved designs associated with your account. Please note that deletion is irreversible and cannot be undone.

7. Children's Privacy

Paint My Nutcracker is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
